How to select a low cost stock (<20$) with high returns + moderate risks for day trading purpose?
I want to know what parameters (with what values) to look in a stock to buy for 1-5 days investment/trading period.
Also, I want to know if I can buy mutual funds for day trading purpose? If yes, I guess that will be safer approach to invest for this short periods, make profit and then re-invest.
Please advice.
Based on the wording of your questions, it would be in your best interest to study the markets and the products traded in them.
Here are some websites that can be used to screen for stocks that can meet parameters you set

You can not "day trade" mutual funds. Funds prices are determined on the asset value of the fund as of the close of business on the trade date and the price movement of the fund is not that great to warrant profits from short term holding periods
During a trading day can you buy a stock and an hour later sell the same stock? Is this what day traders do?
During the trading day can you buy a stock and then an hour later you see that the price has gone up on the stock can you then sell it an hour later? Is this what day traders do sometimes?
I day trade and yes you can, thats exactly whats done. in fact if the stock or equity is liquid enough you can sell it back in seconds, depending on how fast your broker or, the electronic broker your using.
ive used light speed which is a day trading program.
trade station for awhile.
but you want to wait until it reaches an exit point thats suitable for you, would be pointless to sell it and it hasnt had time to move up or down.
hope this helps

How much money could I make day trading stocks?
I’m new to stocks and am just starting to learn the ins and outs…because I’m a beginner I just want to start off day trading maybe 100 bucks worth of a stock to get the hang of it…how much could I make by just selling high and buying low all throughout the day?
Don’t
100 bucks, minus lets say a 5-30 buck transaction fee to buy and then to sell
You would need to make a return on a daily basis of 10-60%.
We always have 20/20 hindsight, which makes it easy for people to look at a stock and say "Hey I could have bought it here, sold it here, made $5 and do that 4-10 times and I could make a living…
20/20 hindsight
You have ambitions, though your funds do not make it realistic.
As the person above noted, there are certain requirements to be able to trade in the sense that you wish.

Stock day trading?
I would like to start day trading with a meager $1,000. Where is the best place to sign up on line, Etrade, Scottrade etc. and where do I go to get the best tips for quick cash?
If you are thinking of day trading with only $1,000.00 and just starting to trade you will find the money gone very quickly as it would take more money to pay the trading fees than you would make. I would suggest opening an account with Scottrade or another discount broker and do a lot of research and study before trading.
It is not easy to trade with a small amount of funds, If stocks are sold the funds are not called secure untill 3 trading days after the sell and if other stocks are bought with these funds they can not be sold until the the funds are secure from the previous trade. If you do sell them you will get a warning and if you do it again you will be suspended from trading.
One bad trade can reduce $1,000.00 to $300.00 in one day.
Day tradeing is not as easy as many people think, it requires a lot of research and skill. Start by learning the basics and nvesting carefully and by the time your funds grow you will be more prepared for day tradeing.

List of best tacktics to make huge bucks in stock market intra-day trading?
Like sometimes i buy shares n sell the same day for 1-2% profit, should i buy immediately or waiting is better? what are the other things i can do in intra-day? to make money?
i pump 1 lakh rupees
and even if i make 1% profit (after adding brokerage&taxes) i make 1 thousand rupees!
I dont know if you will make money or not. But the broker with whom you trade will certainly make more money by your intraday activity.
Till date there are not a single day trader who has consistently made money, without risking his sampatti.
My sincere advice would be to find a few really good stock and invest for mid to long term.
In case you are in a hurry. then I am afraid, there are no shortcuts.
Is a Pattern Day Trader trading the same stock four times a week?
I’m a little bit confused with the Pattern Day Trading restriction.
If I buy MSFT and sell it the same day, for four days in a row, I am a pattern day trader. I understand that part.
However, what if I buy MSFT one day and sell it, BBY the next day and sell it, ADBE the day after that and sell it, etc., Am I considered a pattern day trader?
Also, is it the same for options?
yes and yes.
You are pattern no matter what stocks you trade . I beleive its 4 trades on the same day in 5 consecutive days not 4.
Also if you trade options its the same thing.
I knwo it can be frustrating but I have learned to trade around this,
meaning buy strength after 3 pm , that way you are not looking to sell immediately.
DO not buy something which can move very fast in the other direction , like during earnings.

What’s a good beginners guide to the stock market and day trading?
I’m 25 and I don’t have much money but I would like to start learning about the basics of the stock market and maybe invest in some penny stocks. I tried the "Trading for Dummies" book but unfortunately it wasn’t dumb enough for me (the book basically assumes you know the basics which defeats the purpose of a ‘Dummies’ book)
Three main sources come to mind:
1) Day Trading for Dummies (actually a really good basic book)
2) 123LearnToTrade.com has excellent info
3) Youtube Trading Videos
Hope this helps!
