Stock day trading?

By admin · March 31, 2010 · Filed in Stock Day Trading · 4 Comments »

I would like to start day trading with a meager $1,000. Where is the best place to sign up on line, Etrade, Scottrade etc. and where do I go to get the best tips for quick cash?

If you are thinking of day trading with only $1,000.00 and just starting to trade you will find the money gone very quickly as it would take more money to pay the trading fees than you would make. I would suggest opening an account with Scottrade or another discount broker and do a lot of research and study before trading.

It is not easy to trade with a small amount of funds, If stocks are sold the funds are not called secure untill 3 trading days after the sell and if other stocks are bought with these funds they can not be sold until the the funds are secure from the previous trade. If you do sell them you will get a warning and if you do it again you will be suspended from trading.

One bad trade can reduce $1,000.00 to $300.00 in one day.

Day tradeing is not as easy as many people think, it requires a lot of research and skill. Start by learning the basics and nvesting carefully and by the time your funds grow you will be more prepared for day tradeing.

i want to doing Intraday Trading so please i want best informatiomal book about day trading .

Here’s a few "tips" hardly any one will tell you:
#1 In your trading account: YOU MUST HAVE AT ALL TIMES AT LEAST $25,000 U.S.

This is cold, hard cash. This isn’t one share of stock or anything resembling any kind of trade. This is cold, hard CASH!

Check with your broker: As soon as your account goes 1 cent below that amount, a completely different set of trading restrictions is imposed on the trader.

Among these is: NO more than 3 or 4 day trades in any rolling 5 day trading period.

When you have that $25,000 U.S., post another Q stating you have $25K and you’re ready. THEN you should be ready for more info.

Thanks for asking your Q!

Ron Berue

I would say a mix of strategies might be best. The best thing to do is – do a lot of research. A good place to find interesting investment ideas is http://www.top10traders.com – this is a free site that lets you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 in "play" money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks perform compared to other investors. You can read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing ideas. There is a charting feature, so you can see how your portfolio performs compared to the S&P 500. Also, you can create your own "group" so that you can see how you are doing compared to your friends.

Here are this month’s best traders:

List of best tacktics to make huge bucks in stock market intra-day trading?

By admin · March 30, 2010 · Filed in Stock Day Trading · 5 Comments »

Like sometimes i buy shares n sell the same day for 1-2% profit, should i buy immediately or waiting is better? what are the other things i can do in intra-day? to make money?
i pump 1 lakh rupees
and even if i make 1% profit (after adding brokerage&taxes) i make 1 thousand rupees!

I dont know if you will make money or not. But the broker with whom you trade will certainly make more money by your intraday activity.

Till date there are not a single day trader who has consistently made money, without risking his sampatti.

My sincere advice would be to find a few really good stock and invest for mid to long term.

In case you are in a hurry. then I am afraid, there are no shortcuts.

Want Free Software that Provides Buy Sell Signals for Intraday Trading?

By admin · March 30, 2010 · Filed in Intraday Trading · 1 Comment »

Hi, My name is avadhoot. I am a intraday trader. I trade at NSE. Could u recommend me any software which would give me buy sell signals for intraday. Please reply. If poss mail me at kanade_avadhoot@yahoo.co.in

My recommendation would be to give up. Statistically, 90% of day traders lose money over a one year period. Are you going to be the lucky 1 in 10? Don’t try to trade intraday. Lets put it this way. If I were smart enough to know when to buy and sell intraday, and I were smart enough to be able to create a computer program… why would I bother selling or marketing the program? Wouldn’t I just keep the program to myself and continue to make money trading intraday? In other words, very very very few people can trade intraday, and if/when they are successful, they don’t go around sharing it with everyone because then their strategy would get crowded out and not work anymore.

Good luck!

Trade short term mutual funds instead of stocks and options?

By admin · March 30, 2010 · Filed in Short Term Trading · 3 Comments »

Given the current market volatility-would’nt it be more profitable to trade short term, no fee, mtual funds as opposed to stocks and options for steady income? Mutual funds that allow you to go in and out every 30 days without penalties. There are lots of them and the markets keep going down.

If you want to do this, & if you can find mutual funds that will let you WHY NOT?? However if your maket timing skills are so great, I tend to wonder why you are not doing this already with ETFs??

Market timing is very tricky business. You have to be right twice. You have to know when to get in & then when to get back out again. If you wait for the market to go down, and then get out, all you are doing is locking in your losses. Then you wait for the market to go up for a few days, and then get in. Now you’ve missed out on a few days gains.

Market timers increase their risk, while lowering their returns. It is really the worst of both worlds.

Personally I would rather take advantage of a down market, and buy my mutual funds and/or stocks at a discount.
